Mike was born in Portland and grew up in Cape Elizabeth. After graduating cum laude from Bowdoin College with a degree in English and art, Mike spent a decade in Massachusetts as a features writer at the Boston Phoenix. He won many awards over the years, including 2009 Journalist of the Year from the New England Newspaper and Press Association.
In 2010, he moved back to Maine. Since then, he has been editor of Healthcare IT News, where he focuses on the ways information and technology are improving healthcare delivery. His writing also has appeared in Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, Mainebiz, Bowdoin Magazine and more. He lives in South Portland.
