CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE:
William Tuell, a Republican from East Machias. Rep. Tuell has served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2024, and previously served from 2015-2022.

Rep. Tuell is a journalist with a background in public relations. He is committed to community service and serves on the Arise Addiction Recovery Board of Directors. He has also worked as a substitute teacher in Machias area schools. He is a graduate of Washington Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Maine at Machias where he was named the 2017 Young Alumni Award winner.
