Daniel Ankeles, a Democrat from Harpswell. Rep. Ankeles serves in local government, and has served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2022.

Rep. Ankeles previously worked as a legislative aide in the House Democratic Office for nine years, and also worked as a public radio producer, organized campaigns for his fellow Democrats and defended Maine’s same-day voter registration law in a 2011 referendum campaign. Rep. Ankeles is an at-large member of the Brunswick Town Council, where he has advocated successfully for conservation, public education and the creation of Brunswick’s new Housing Committee.
