CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE:

Caldwell Jackson, a Republican from Oxford. Rep. Jackson is retired and has served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2022.

Rep. Jackson has extensive local, county and state public service experience, having served as a Deputy Commissioner and Economic Development Specialist for the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservative and Forestry. He is currently the Chairman of the Oxford Board of Selectman, and previously served as an Oxford County Commissioner. A longtime member of the Oxford County Fair, he is currently a member of its Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Lake Thompson Fish and Game Club.

Rep. Jackson and his wife, Diane, own and operate Breezy Hill Farm. Originally established in 1982, to raise livestock for market sales and hay production, Breezy Hill currently produces potatoes, fresh produce, and free range eggs for wholesale and retail markets. The Jacksons offer these and other products at Jackson’s Greenspot, their on-site, local farm stand.

Jackson serves on the agriculture, conservation and forestry committee which covers the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry; agricultural development; agricultural fairs, products and marketing; animal control and welfare; harness racing; food policy; food safety, inspection and labeling; dairy industry; pest management and pesticides regulation; industrial hemp; state parks, historic sites, public lands and submerged lands; Maine Land Use Planning Commission; geological surveying and mapping; Maine Forest Service; timber harvesting; industrial hemp; the Land for Maine’s Future Program; and Baxter State Park.
