Rep. Michel “Mike” Lajoie, a Democrat from Lewiston. Rep. Lajoie is retired and has recently served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2022. He also served from 2009-2016.
Rep. Lajoie is a former small business owner and Lewiston Fire Chief who served the city for over 31 years. Rep. Lajoie has served on numerous professional associations and boards, including on the Lewiston Municipal Federal Credit Union Board of Directors for 24 years. Currently, he serves on the Gendron Franco Center Board of Directors and is an American Red Cross Community Volunteer Leader.He was also a member of the Maine Fire Protection Services Commission and the Maine Fire Service Institute Advisory Board. Additionally, he served two terms as a Lewiston City Councilor, and was the council president for the second term.
