CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE:
Glenn “Chip” Curry, a Democrat from Belfast. Sen. Curry has served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2020.
Throughout his career, Sen. Curry has focused his work on helping individuals of all ages overcome challenges and reach their full potential. In the 1990s, he taught at Unity College, where he led courses in outdoor leadership, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement — fostering a commitment to both personal development and community service. For over a decade, he worked with the Governor’s Children’s Cabinet, leading initiatives to strengthen community-based efforts to reduce child poverty and protect children from abuse and neglect. For much of the last decade, he has assisted adult students returning to college, helping them develop the necessary skills and earn credentials for good-paying jobs. He serves on the Maine Fire Commission and is the Senate Chair for the Blue Ribbon Commission to Study Maine Emergency Services. Locally, he is on the board of Waldo Community Action Partners and volunteers building sets for Searsport District High School Theater.
