CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE:

Donna Bailey, a Democrat from Saco. Sen. Bailey has served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2016; she served in the House from 2017-2020.

Sen. Bailey was part of the first group of children to attend the national Head Start program, while living in New Hampshire, to which she attributes a lifelong appreciation and high regard for education and learning. She was inspired to pursue a legal career by New Hampshire Rep. Hilda Brungot, her maternal great-aunt, who served the longest of any woman in a State legislature, and whose portrait hangs in the New Hampshire State House. She is a member of the York County Bar. Sen. Bailey has served on the Saco Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and as York County Probate Court Judge, and is currently a mayoral appointee to the Saco Senior Tax Abatement Committee.

Sen. Bailey serves as chairwoman of the Senate conduct and ethics committee, on the housing and economic development committee and as chairwoman of the health coverage, insurance and financial services committee.
