In the high-pressure arena of high school athletics, an often overlooked role is the parents of student-athletes.

In this episode of Chasing Maine, host Roger McCord covered the Class B girls’ state title game by focusing on three parents — Toby and Jennifer Kachnovich of Spruce Mountain, and Dan Clifford of Ellsworth. Toby and Jennifer are the parents of Aubrey Kachnovich, a junior, while Dan is the father of Morgan Clifford, a senior.

Hear the parents talk about the benefits of sports, the significant amount of time invested, and what they feel are the benefits of commitment to a team effort.
