Amanda Geduld covered education for The Maine Monitor. In January 2024, she will begin a position as a K-12 national education reporter at a nonprofit newsroom in New York. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Chalkbeat, CNN, Miami Herald, Columbia News Service, and AM New York. Amanda graduated as salutatorian from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she was a Stabile Investigative Fellow. She was the recipient of the Fred M. Hechinger Education Journalism Award and a Pulitzer Travel fellowship.
