CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE:
Jane Pringle, a Democrat from Windham. Rep. Pringle is retired and has recently served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2022, having also served in the 126th Legislature.
Rep. Pringle completed an internship in internal medicine at University Hospitals in Cleveland, and completed her medical residency and fellowship at the Royal Victoria Hospital at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec Canada. She practiced general internal medicine in both private practice in Maine from 1983-1993, and in hospital based practice in various Maine Medical Center Clinics from 1975-1993 and 1999-2012. She served as Chief Medical Director of Outpatient Clinics from 1999-2011. During her tenure as clinic director she oversaw the implementation of an electronic medical record system, expansion of clinic services and implementation of various Quality Improvement Programs. She also served as the Medical Director of the Care Partners Program of Greater Portland which provided health care to patients without health insurance. In 2011 Dr. Pringle received the Phoebe Conroy King Access to Healthcare award from the Maine Public Health Association recognizing her work to improve access to healthcare for the many residents of Maine who have no health insurance.
