This district serves the Hancock County communities of Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Cranberry Isles, Deer Isle, Ellsworth, Frenchboro, Lamoine, Marshall Island UT, Mount Desert, Orland, Penobscot, Sedgwick, Southwest Harbor, Stonington, Surry, Swans Island, Tremont, Trenton and Verona Island.

This district also serves the Knox County community of Isle au Haut.

CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE:

Nicole Grohoski, a Democrat from Ellsworth. Sen. Grohoski has served in the state legislature since being elected in November 2018; she served in the House during the 129th and 130th Legislatures, and began her service in the Senate during the 130th Legislature.

Sen. Grohoski is a cartographer and geographic information system (GIS) specialist that works for a small, Maine-based mapping company. She is a driver for the local Meals on Wheels program, volunteers with Green Ellsworth and serves on the Board of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. She is a member of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the Maine Climate Council.

Sen. Grohoski serves as chairwoman of the taxation committee, on the engrossed bills committee and on the energy, utilities and technology committee.
