2026 Voter Guide: Washington County
Here’s a look at what’s on the ballot in Washington County this year.
In Washington County, the following county offices are elected: judge of probate, register of probate, register of deeds, sheriff, county commissioner (three seats), district attorney, and, at least in past years, county treasurer. The county’s longtime elected treasurer resigned in September 2025 amid revelations of budget mismanagement. County commissioners have since worked to address the county’s budget crisis and will ask voters if they want to change the treasurer role from an elected position to an appointed one on the November ballot.
