Voter Guide: Governor’s Race

Maine will have a new governor for the first time in eight years.

The Republican primary field in the race to replace Gov. Janet Mills features former health care technology entrepreneur Jonathan Bush, former U.S. State Department official and lobbyist Bobby Charles, real estate businessman David Jones, former state lawmaker and lobbyist Garrett Mason, engineer and entrepreneur Owen McCarthy, fitness industry executive Ben Midgley and businessman Robert Wessels. 

The Democratic primary field features Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, former Maine Senate President Troy Jackson, renewable energy entrepreneur Angus King III, former Speaker of the Maine House Hannah Pingree and former head of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention Dr. Nirav Shah.
